New & Improved’ Strictly Sail Pacific – April 15-18. Get Your Discounted Tickets Here!
Strictly Sail Pacific returns to its former exclusive sail-only format at the newly renovated Jack London Square, Oakland, CA from April 15 – 18, 2010. The show features an enhanced layout, more convenient parking, indoor exhibit space, and numerous attractions and special features. For 2010, the show shifts to a new four-day format. Another key change includes moving the majority of the booth exhibitors to a 30,000 square foot indoor facility – site of the former Barnes & Noble bookstore – which will accommodate approximately 150 booths. The new “Exhibitor Hall” situated in the heart of Jack London Square, offers convenient underground parking, excellent facilities and – rain or shine – a climate-controlled environment. The new layout will improve traffic flow and provide maximum convenience for attendees.
Once again, Blue Water Sailing Magazine will be sponsoring the Seminar Series including more than 100 sessions, during the Show. A few Seminars that should not be missed... Women and Cruising, by Pam Wall and Kathy Parsons - http://www.womenandcruising.com/seminars.htm
And BWS Contributors John and Amanda Neal, who will present five free seminars. If you're interested in offshore cruising, you won't want to miss these seminars:
John and Amanda will also present their 137th Offshore Cruising Seminar on Saturday, April 17th. Click here http://www.mahina.com/weekend.html for course outline and details. New for 2010: Premiering at the Strictly Sail Miami Show, this Pacific Show will also showcase premium pre-owned boats in the in-water section of the show. Designed to enhance the show by providing attendees with a wider selection of boats to see with the hope of enticing more folks to make a purchase. The small boat section will also be expanded to include affordable dinghies, trailerable boats and one-design classes.
Fun for the Family: Sailors of all ages and abilities will find Strictly Sail Pacific “the sailing event” of the year. For the next generation of sailors, Strictly Sail will be hosting seminars and free sailing activities geared to children aged 6-14. Call of the Sea, a non-profit organization for budding sailors will host seminars on Navigation and Seamanship, while Heart of Sailing offers free sails for children with special needs. The Encinal Yacht Club is featuring Opti-Sailing for youth, featuring one-design fleet racing off the waters of Jack London Square. Other kids-only events are planned throughout the show. Whether you come for the day or for the entire show, Strictly Sail Pacific promises to deliver an experience that will get you ready for the upcoming sailing season.
