A name already well established in cruising circles, Leopard Catamarans launched the new Leopard 43 designed by Simonis-Voogd. Leopard is the private sales branch of The Moorings and the charter version, the Moorings 4300, will soon be found in Moorings' fleets around the world. Though many associate Leopard with fair-weather cruising in tropical destinations, all of the boats travel under their own canvas and steam from the Robertson & Caine boatyard in South Africa to their delivery destination. At 42 feet, six inches long and 22 feet, nine inches wide, the Leopard 43 draws four feet, three inches in her deep hulls and has demonstrated blue-water capabilities. However, it is true that she is probably most comfortable as a tropical cruiser with an eating area under the hard Bimini, twin bow pulpits and a swim platform on the transoms, but then aren't the tropics where we are most comfortable, too.
