A Vermont couple left Boston in their 37 foot sailboat, crossing the Atlantic en route to Scotland. They encountered severe weather off the coast of Ireland this past Saturday. The Irish Coast Guard’s Marine Research Coordination Centre advised them to alter course to the port of Castletownbere where the RNLI were able to assist bringing them in safely.
