What kind of boat do you sail and cruise?
Many thanks to all readers who took the time to answer last week’s survey on in-mast mainsail furling. 73% do not have in-mast furling; of those who do, 24% have vertical battens in the sail; of those with battens, 50% have short battens only on the leech, while 25% have full length battens and 25% have both full-length and short battens. Of all readers with in-mast furling, 52% have had the mainsail jam while rolling in or out, while 48% have not.
