When I wrote this question I had ‘Williwaw’ in mind as the answer. And the majority of you answered ‘Williwaw’. I learned from your responses that there are a multitude of terms that describe these kinds of winds depending on region, for example katabatic, chinook, bora to name a few. All were considered correct.
