Authorities are continuing a search for a yacht and its crew members after a body was found on Tuesday during a joint Hong Kong-Philippines search operation.
The search was launched following the discovery of a body floating in the South China Sea, identified as a member of a five member crew aboard a yacht that went missing during a storm, media reports said.
The unidentified body was spotted along with a life jacket near the last-known position of the yacht, Europa, Philippine coastguard spokesman Armand Balilo said on television network ABS-CBN.
“A Philippine coastguard auxiliary plane … found indications that the yacht sank at the vicinity,” Balilo said on Tuesday. “They saw a lifeless body floating and a life jacket and traces of oil.” Read More
