The English pensioner’s stricken vessel started drifting towards the North Alwyn oil and gas platform in storm-force conditions, sparking a major rescue operation. But he declined to be flown to safety by two Norwegian helicopters because he did not want to abandon his yacht.[spacer height=”10px”]
