Entrants will also be asked to make a tax-deductible charitable donation.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite the West Indies being home to many exotic tourist destinations, local economies typically lack the resources to adequately support education,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.asa.com\/\">ASA<\/a> executive director Charlie Nobles said in a statement. \u201cThe Caribbean is a gift to sailors and the sailing industry, so we are proud to partner with Sunsail to support Hands Across the Sea\u2019s goal of improving literacy levels in the Caribbean, where economic conditions make children\u2019s books virtually unaffordable for both families and schools.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.handsacrossthesea.net\/\">Hands Across the Sea<\/a> celebrated its five-year anniversary Sept. 29.
