Amazing Solo 24 Hour Record Confirmed

The World Sailing Speed Record Council has ratified a new singlehanded 24 hour record set by Francois Gabart (FRA) on the 30m trimaran MACIF. Gabart covered a distance of 850.68 nm, for an average speed of 35.45 knots, while descending the South Atlantic on November 13-14, 2017. Gabart set the previous record on MACIF of 784nm on July 2016. Read more.
