Legendary Western Australia sailor Jon Sanders has become the oldest person to circumnavigate the planet and the only person to do it 10 times. Sanders sailed his beloved boat Perie Banou II, fresh from his record-breaking solo circumnavigation, into a hero’s welcome at Fremantle Harbour yesterday. It took 15 months to travel 28,844 nautical miles during the circumnavigation. The 78-year-old said the journey was his swan song. Read more.
