“I don’t know where I’m a gonna go when the volcano blow”

By George Day · On March 28, 2018

Jimmy Buffet’s lyrics were right on the money for cruising friends of ours who were making the passage from the Grenadines to the island of Grenada not long ago.  They were careful to adhere to the warnings issue by Grenadian official to steer clear of the waters over the underwater volcano known as Kick ’em Jenny. They Buffet playing on the stereo and low and behold, as they skirted the volcano, the bard’s classic tune Volcano stared belting through the speakers.  He sang, “Now I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know where I’m a gonna go when the volcano blow.”

It was perfect timing. Read more about the warning regarding Kick ’em Jenny here.
