Boat Built for 1992 America’s Cup Goes Aground

(Coronado Times) – The Age of Russia was built in Leningrad, Russia for the 1992 America’s Cup in San Diego, CA. The boat was never used in the Cup and eventually ended up in a boat yard for years before moving to Canada and then back to California. This past weekend she lost her mooring and grounded on Coronado’s Central Beach where she eventually broke into pieces. Read More
