Sailor Dies in Freak Accident After Getting Entangled in Spinnaker Sheet

(Seattle Times) – Local sailor, Greg Mueller, 58, lost his life during the 2021 Race Week in Anacortes, WA. Mueller worked the foredeck of the J 120 With Grace and this past week he accidentally stepped into the spinnaker sheet as the spinnaker filled. Mueller was jerked off the boat, being hoisted about 10 feet into the air before plunging into the water and being dragged along side of the boat. Read More
