Blue Heron Battery Adds to Their Line of Lithium Batteries

By Sandy Parks · On March 9, 2022

Blue Heron Battery has announced the addition of a Dual Purpose Battery to their line of lithium batteries, combining starting capability for smaller engines along with deep cycle storage ability for house loads. This will be perfect for smaller sail and power boats that have a single battery. The Blue Heron Dual Purpose Battery is rated at 105-Ah of storage capability and can supply a high level of power for starting up to a 115-hp outboard and up to a 50-hp diesel auxiliary. Click here for more details.

Blue Heron Battery President Hank George says “We are delighted with the performance of the Dual Purpose Battery, and feel it will fill a nice niche in our line for active sailors and boaters in the smaller boat range.” Blue Heron also offers Deep Cycle Lithium batteries in the 105-Ah to 312-Ah range that can be combined in parallel to support house battery banks to over 3,000Ah. And, they may be combined in series up to four batteries to support higher voltage needs up to 48V. These are offered in the Drop-In design with built-in BMS, as well as Modular configurations with external BMS.

Blue Heron batteries are very high-quality and made with Grade A+ prismatic cells, like some of the most expensive Lithium batteries available to cruisers, but are priced very attractively. The company sells factory direct, which saves customers save money. Batteries are in stock in Virginia and ship across the continental U.S. Blue Heron also offers BMS for their Modular line of batteries and sells a range of battery chargers, inverters and related products to complement your new Lithium battery bank. Visit the Blue Heron website for more information on their product line.

Blue Heron Battery offers technical assistance to clients in planning their Lithium upgrade. Blue Heron Battery is owned and managed by long time sailors Hank & Seale George.
