Blue Heron Battery has announced the addition of a Dual Purpose Battery to their line of lithium batteries, combining starting capability for smaller engines along with deep cycle storage ability for house loads. This will be perfect for smaller sail and power boats that have a single battery. The Blue Heron Dual Purpose Battery is rated at 105-Ah of storage capability and can supply a high level of power for starting up to a 115-hp outboard and up to a 50-hp diesel auxiliary. And, they may be combined in series up to four batteries to support higher voltage needs up to 48V.
