It was during Brett Archibald’s 20th hour missing at sea that the bone-tired swimmer was attacked by jellyfish — a shoal of Portuguese men-of-war who cut up his back like little razors, swirling their stinging tentacles against his red-raw skin.
“I thought: ‘I’ll die and at least it would be quick,’ ” Archibald told The Post about one of the most terrifying episodes of his 28-hour ordeal. “I consoled myself with that.”
