Navigating the New-Look Miami Boat Show

By Sandy Parks · On February 9, 2023

Next Wednesday, February 15, the 2023 Miami International Boat Show will throw open its gates and welcome what its management estimates will be up to 100,000 visitors over the five day show. The show is huge and takes over six locations in Miami Beach and the city of Miami. After several seasons of running the show on Virginia Kay on Biscayne Bay, the main indoor portion of the show is back at the Miami Beach Convention Center that has been completely renovated. Right next to the MBCC is Pride Park where a huge tent has been erected for seminars, food stalls, exhibits and more. The in-the-water portions of the show are scattered around four locations on the Miami waterfront. The main powerboat show is at Herald Square. Next to it is the Venetian Marina where you can test drive up to 150 different boats, with advanced reservations. The sailboat show is at Museum Park Marina a few blocks south of Herald Square. And, last but not least, the SuperYacht show is at Yacht Haven Grand Miami. The in-the-water shows and the indoor exhibits in Miami Beach are linked by water taxis and buses and first-time visitors should be warned to allow plenty of time to get from one venue to the next. There are no ticket booths at the show so all tickets must be purchased online via the show’s website. A one-day ticket is $42 for adults and $16 for children. The SuperYacht show tickets are sold separately and go for $130 per day. A big part of the charm of the show is being in Miami and Miami Beach in February when the cities are rocking with tourists, the beaches are thick with sun worshipers and the night clubs thunder away all night. Check out the show’s website here.
