Cruising Compass
Question of the Week 0

Survey of the Week

By George Day · On September 24, 2024

Before reading on, please take a moment to fill out this week’s survey so we can share your knowledge and experiences with the Cruising Compass family. Thanks.

Do you have a bow thruster on your boat?

Thanks to all readers who took the time to fill out last week’s survey on anchor snubbers. Of those who replied,  91% do use a snubber on their anchor rode. Of those, 62% use a length of nylon line with a chain hook.  Many also use a nylon line bridle rigged with a chain hook.  14% use a rolling hitch instead of a chain hook and 6% use a lengh of line with a rubber shock absorber.
