Salty Dawg Rallies place an emphasis on fun, safety and building lasting friendships. They are a great way to meet other cruisers, and to sail offshore in company. You can register for the Rally and participate in all events. However, joining the Rally as a Member entitles you to many other benefits. Most participants also join as Members to take advantage of these added benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #4c4d51;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Rally includes extensive planning and information prior to departure. Daily briefings by weather router and forecaster Chris Parker are provided to all who register, both before departure and offshore. And the many seasoned sailors who participate in the Rally offer a great resource to other Salty Dawgs. Daily nets track location of vessels, and offer help on any issues or questions that participants have. Once you register, are qualified to join the Rally and have completed your paperwork (Float Plan and Waivers), you will be given a password to get into the Dawg House where details on these nets and the schedule of Chris Parker briefings will be posted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #4c4d51;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pre-Departure Events:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #4c4d51;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Starting May 1, the Salty Dawg Spring Rally will begin to assemble at the Bitter End Yacht Club in North Sound for a series of special events, including a Pizza Party, scavenger hunt and happy hours. Free moorings are available to Salty Dawg members until May 12th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #4c4d51;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On Wednesday, May 6 Salty Dawgs will go over to Leverick Bay to watch Michael Beans perform on the Beach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #4c4d51;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On Friday, May 8, the Dawgs will enjoy the ALL YOU CAN EAT Beach BBQ at Leverick Bay, catch the Moko Jumbies\u2019 performance, and listen to live entertainment by the \u201cElvis White Band\u201d.\u00a0 You don\u2019t have to attend the Beach Barbecue to watch the Jumbies.\u00a0 While at Leverick Bay, enjoy $20 moorings, $35\/nt on the dock (any size boat), 10% off food purchases at the Chef\u2019s Pantry, 15% off the upstairs dining room (food and drink, but bottles of wine not included), 15% off food at the Jumbies beach bar (Beach Barbecue excluded), and 25% off drinks at the Jumbies beach bar (25% does not apply to Happy Hour or the upstairs dining room or bottles of wine).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #4c4d51;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On May 11th\u00a0the Salty Dawgs Departure Dinner will be held at the Bitter End Yacht Club.\u00a0\u00a0While at the Bitter End Yacht Club, Members are eligible for free moorings (May 1-12), and enjoy dockage at $1\/ft\/n, free use of the pool, plus many other benefits.\u00a0 See the Flyer for details.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #4c4d51;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On May 12th, the Salty Dawgs head to Nanny Cay to begin preparations for the passage north.\u00a0 While at\u00a0Nanny Cay, Chris Parker will have Live Webcasts beginning May 13 until Rally departure.\u00a0Transportation and or delivery to Nanny Cay will be provided by Rite Way for provisioning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #4c4d51;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On May 16 the Dawgs will depart from Nanny Cay and the BVI\u2019s, weather permitting, for the passage north.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #4c4d51;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>You can register for the Spring Rally right here, on-line.
