The Salty Dawg Rally (SDR) has announced the schedule for the annual 4th<\/sup> of July Rendezvous in Bristol, R.I., and also announced that registration for the Fall 2015 Rally has opened. The Salty Dawg Rally is a cruising rally that has quickly grown to be the most popular and largest Rally in the U.S.. Online registration for the Fall 2015 Rally is easy and available at the SDR website, www.saltydawgrally.org\/fall-2015-rally-registration<\/a> .<\/p>\n

In making the announcement, Linda Knowles, Co-founder of the SDR, said, \u201cThis year will be our 4th Annual Fourth of July Rendezvous in Bristol, RI, which hosts the longest continuous running Fourth of July Celebration in the Nation!\u00a0 The Rendezvous is opened not only to the Salty Dawgs, but to all blue water sailors interested in learning more about the Rally.\u00a0 We are excited to have Ocean Cruising Club (OCC) join us this year to watch the parade. We encourage anyone to join who has an interest in meeting members of the SDR and OCC!\u201d<\/p>\n

The opening dinner for the rendezvous will be lobsters and steamers on July 2, followed by a pulled pork BBQ on July 3 with the annual town fireworks show immediately afterwards. A clambake\/clamboil on July 4th after the parade will top off the rendezvous festivities.<\/p>\n

Knowles encourages cruisers to arrive in Bristol prior to the 4th<\/sup> of July week events.\u00a0 There is a lot to do in the Bristol area and there will be free concerts on the water for 2 weeks prior to the 4th<\/sup>; visit www.july4thbristolri.com<\/a> \u00a0to learn about all the events that Bristol has planned.<\/p>\n

Those planning to attend the dinners should email Linda at linda@saltydawgrally.org<\/a> \u00a0to let SDR planners know when you will arrive and the number of people attending each dinner.\u00a0 Costs for the events will be divided among everyone attending the meals.<\/p>\n

The Salty Dawg Rally (SDR), founded by cruising enthusiasts Bill & Linda Knowles of Bristol, Rhode Island, is a U.S. tax-exempt nonprofit organization 501(c)(3).\u00a0 It is comprised of blue water sailors who have completed at least one blue water passage.
