Add your sailing plans and you could win a Sunsail Charter or any of dozens of other prizes!<\/p>\n<p>Sunsail announces, for the 16th annual, worldwide Summer Sailstice celebration of sailing, an invitation for everyone to sign up and sail on the solstice weekend of June 18\/19, 2016 with a chance to win a free, monohull or multihull charter at any one of its 25 bases around the world.\u00a0 Sunsail will be encouraging current boat owners, new sailors, sailing schools, clubs and organizations to invite crew and hoist their sails to join the whole world sailing for the first weekend of summer.\u00a0 Sunsail and Summer Sailstice are dedicated to celebrating the passion, history and joy of the sailing culture.<\/p>\n<p>All sailors like to share their favorite pastime with friends, family and the world.\u00a0 Sunsail sailors are no exception.\u00a0 From beach cat to tall ship, kiteboard to family cruiser the sailing world\u2019s eclectic personality can be difficult to convey.\u00a0 Summer Sailstice gives sailors this once-a-year opportunity, ahead of the peak sailing season to put all of sailing on display, sail \u2018together\u2019 and invite everyone on the water to celebrate the best of sailing.\u00a0 The event is not geographically or sailing discipline limited.\u00a0 It connects cruisers, day sailors, racers, offshore voyagers, inland lake sailors and invites non-sailors to step aboard and join the festivities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe event is timed for the Northern Hemisphere solstice aligning with 80-90% of the world\u2019s sailors peak sailing season.\u00a0 The Southern Hemisphere always joins in as we have sailors register from places like Tahiti, South Africa, Australia and Chile.\u00a0 We want all sailors to use this first summer weekend to post their sailing plans, host open houses, invite friends and hoist sails for this worldwide celebration of sailing.\u201d says event founder John Arndt. \u201cPlus use the special discount code \u2018stice\u2019 for an extra 5% Summer Sailstice discount any time in the next year including in combination with any other Sunsail promotion!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Sunsail will be working with its 25 charter bases worldwide to publicize and offer as many sailing opportunities on this one weekend as possible,\u2019 says Sunsail\u2019s general manager, Scott Farquharson.\u00a0 \u2018We will join all sailing organizations for this one-weekend, all-hands-on-deck sailing festival to maximize the numbers of sails hoisted and sailors sailing while, all combined, we collectively tell the global story of sailing.\u00a0 And, of course, we are offering one lucky Summer Sailstice participant a chance to win a free, one-week charter with Sunsail at any one of our bases worldwide!\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The Summer Sailstice website provides a place for everyone to post and host events while providing event publicity tools for all participants.\u00a0 By registering sailors are able to let the world see how, what and where they sail all contributing to a colorful, high-impact display of sailing to the public.<\/p>\n<p>All sailors are encouraged to sail \u2018together\u2019 wherever they are on the planet.
