The rally will depart Toronto on October 9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The new rally is specifically designed to help sailors from the Great Lakes cruise-in-company from Toronto, through the Erie Canal, down the Hudson River and along the East Coast to the southern end of the Chesapeake Bay in time to join the activities for the annual Salty Dawg Fall Rally to the Caribbean, which begin in Hampton on October 26.<\/p>\n<p>Further your sailing and navigational skills, help others with less experience, plus share in the camaraderie and friendships that are unique to Salty Dawg rallies. Enjoy the history and beauty of Upstate New York along the Erie Canal and Hudson River, the majestic New York City skyline and the ocean passage from New York to Hampton.<\/p>\n<p>When you join a Salty Dawg Rally, you can expect:<br \/>\n\u2022 Weather briefings, daily forecasts and personalized routing guidance<br \/>\n\u2022 At-sea SSB, VHF and satellite communications<br \/>\n\u2022 Extensive preparation assistance<br \/>\n\u2022 Social events: fun, friendships, frolic<br \/>\n\u2022 The lowest possible entry fee with the greatest possible payback<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saltydawgsailing.org\/canadian-rally\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click here<\/a>\u00a0to learn more or to register for this new rally, or contact Rally Master Howie Colt at hcolt@live.com.<\/p>\n<p>The Salty Dawg Sailing Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization that hosts several rallies, rendezvous and a series of blue water sailing seminars. Memberships in the Association are available for anyone interested in blue water sailing or long distance cruising. Salty Dawg burgees are found on vessels around the world.
