She\u2019s sailed\u00a0around the world five times\u2014twice solo and in each direction, including\u00a0a\u00a02006 voyage when\u00a0she became the first woman to do it\u00a0against the prevailing winds and currents. She is\u00a0still the only woman to have sailed around the world non-stop\u00a0<em>three times<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, she joined\u00a0the all-women Team SCA during the 2016\/17\u00a0Volvo Ocean Race.
