It also gave us Donald Crowhurst about whose madness and demise a new movie, <\/em>The Mercy<em>, has just been released. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To commemorate the 1968 event\u2019s 50<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary a rerunning of the event, which was sailed before the advent of modern GPS,\u00a0 has been organized in exactly the same format as the first.\u00a0 This young Irishman is intending to be one of the contestants.\u00a0 Check out his story from <\/em>the journal<em>. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>IN JUST UNDER 150 days, a Dublin native is setting out to become the first Irishman to sail solo around the world non-stop, using no modern technology.
