Of the many readers who answered, 83% have run man-overboard drills aboard their boats; of those 91% performed the drill by retrieving a fender or floating cushion ,while 9% practiced with a swimmer in the water.\u00a0 The preferred maneuvers to rescue a person overboard in order are: 1.Quick Stop, 2. drop sails and motor back, 3. figure of eight, and, 4. reach off and reach back.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The. most popular MOB gear kept handy in the cockpit are in order: 1. Life Sling, 2. chartplotter MOB button, 3. seat cushion, 4. throwable quoit, 5, VHF MOB button, and 6.
