Many thanks to all readers who took the time to fill out last week’s survey on the use of PFDs on our boats. We got a huge response, plus the emails above in Up Front. Not surprisingly,\u00a0 95% of readers do wear PFDS when sailing. But not all the time.\u00a0 63% wear on in rough conditions,\u00a0 58% at night,\u00a0 47% when on watch alone,\u00a0 39% wear them all the time,\u00a0 36% when going forward on deck,\u00a0 and 28% when changing sails.\u00a0 77% of readers have PFDs with harnesses which means that 23% do not.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
