Many thanks to the many readers who replied to last week’s survey on drinking alcohol while offshore.\u00a0 61% of those who filled out the survey run dry ships at sea while 39% do imbibe offshore. Of those who do permit drinking aty sea, 42% say they drink rarely and with limited intake, 35% say they enjoy daily sundowners, 32% say only in calm weather, 25% say only occasionally for special occasions, and 21% say that their policy is to let each crew decide whether to imbibe or not.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
