Certainly, there’s nothing more complementary than beautiful summer weather and recreational boating. And that’s what the San Diego International Boat Show at Sheraton Harbor Island offers to visitors in generous helpings! A spectacular outdoor on-the-water backdrop and plenty of boats and marine accessories of all sizes, types and description.

Whether you’ve been yearning for a yacht, coveting a family cruiser, or anxious to dive into the exciting and healthy world of paddle sports, now is the time to make that dream a reality with nearly 150 boats for sale in addition to dozens of booths showcasing the newest nautical gear, gadgets and accessories.

Not in the market to buy a boat? The San Diego International Boat Show is the perfect place to get your feet wet in the boating lifestyle with activities for all ages. Try It Cove provides free opportunities to test your skills kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboarding and more watersports! If you’re not ready to leave dry land, experience how a boat reacts to wind and waves aboard the Sailing Simulator while the little skippers create nautical works of art in the Kid’s Zone. And, the popular ‘Be a Diver Pool’ has returned! Climb into a wet suit, strap on some gear and jump into the world of SCUBA diving.

If you currently own a boat and love DIY-projects, don’t miss Fred’s Shed Interactive Learning Center, where complimentary DIY clinics on boat maintenance and repair are offered hourly.

The boat show’s seminar program is loaded with educational and enlightening programs hosted by experts and adventurers who know the waters and will share practical advice, expert opinions and tales from the high seas. The schedule covers a variety of topics including Cruising to Mexico, “best practices” of sportfishing, multihull sailing and more. If you’re ready to kick your boating skills up a notch, take to the water through Discover Boating’s Hands-On Skills Training, featuring 60-minute to three-hour on-water clinics taught by professional ASA-skippers.

When you are ready for a break from shopping the boat show or looking for a perfect place to catch the sunset, visit the Fiddler’s Green Tiki bar on the docks. Grab a bite to eat at the BBQ hosted by the Rotary Club La Mesa, enjot a glass of craft beer at Anchors & Ales Beer Garden or take a snack at one of the gourmet Food Trucks.
