Eight of the World’s Classic Schooners to Gather for Superyacht Cup. See Photos

By George Day · On April 4, 2018

We once lived aboard our boat in Palma, Mallorca in Spain’s Balearic islands and can vouch that is it one of the Med’s most beautiful islands. It is also home to many of Europe’s most over-the-top sailing events that attract some of the world’s most beautiful sailing yachts. If you are going to be im Europe in June, then here’s and event you won’t want to miss.

To coincide with the 20th edition of the Superyacht Cup, a fleet of the largest and easily most gorgeous classic schooners will gather on the Bay of Palma, Wednesday the 22nd of June, in a scene so beautiful it will blow your mind. The three vintage schooners competing in this silver Superyacht Cup, Mariette, Germania Nova, and Naema, will be joined by several other large classic schooners, to take part in The Big Class Day Sail.
