The Miami Herald reported this week that a woman sailing near Key West Florida suffered a head injury while underway and required assistance. The woman was sailing aboard the cruising boat Wandering Spirit and was about six miles off Boot Key when the injury was sustained. A Coast Guard boat and crew were dispatched from Station Marathon. They located the cruising boat and were able to rescue the woman who was brought her ashore for treatment. Read more.
