Whale Strike in the Pacific

(Yachting Monthly) – Sailing journalist Peter Nielsen was helping to deliver an Atlantic 46 catamaran One Tree Island in August 2020 when he and the two others onboard were struck by a sperm whale. They had been at sea for 18 days with Panama behind them and the Marquesas, 1,500 miles away their destination when they were struck by a whale, forcing them to abandon ship. Read More
