Do you cruise with pets onboard?
Many thanks to everyone who replied to last week’s survey on AIS. Of those who replied, 89% have AIS. Of those, 79% have it display on their multi-function device while 21% have a dedicated AIS display. 23% also said they have it on their VHF. For the antenna set up, 54% use the VHF antenna linked to the AIS via a splitter, and 46% have a dedicated AIS antenna. For type of AIS, 85% have a transceiver while 15% have receive-only models. Of those who do not have AIS, 38% say they are considering adding the system to their boats.
