In a sailing rig, where would you use a “twing”?

Send your answers to cruisingcompass@bwsailing.com. A winner will be selected randomly from the correct answers and will win a one-year subscription to the digital version of Blue Water Sailing magazine.

Congratulations to Capt. Chad Reimer, Galveston, TX, who correctly answered last week’s question on accurate measurements on a marine chart. “You always use the latitude scale on a chart because the units or degrees remain the same from pole to pole whereas the units on the longitude  scale get smaller as the lines approach the  poles.”
