(Sun Sentinel) – On a routine air patrol around Anguilla Cay, in an island chain between the Lower Keys and Cuba , the USCG spotted people waving makeshift flags from a deserted island. They were able to throw them food and water and after a 24 hour delay due to weather they had a helicopter crew pick up the three individuals and flew them to a medical center.
