Last week a French catamaran, PIR2, capsized while on passage from Guadeloupe to Europe. A Royal Navy helicopter training in the area got to the scene quickly and rescued one crewman. The vessel was towed by a fishing boat to Newlyn, a seaside town in Cornwall, but then remained off the coast.
