(Business Insider) – We recently noted that this past July orcas attacked a sailboat carrying five people off the coast of Portugal. It appears there was another attack a few hours later on a sailboat with two crew. Their rudder was bitten resulting in having to be towed to a dock. Since 2020 there have been over 200 attacks by orcas along Portugal and Spain’s Iberian Peninsula. Scientists are trying to determine if the attacks are caused by curiosity, mischief or anger.
