(The Guardian) – While it may seem a bit farfetched, there are scientists who have a goal of communicating with whales. The Cetacean Translation Initiative has a target date of 2026 for their project to connect with whales. Using underwater listening stations, drones carrying hydrophones and soft robotic fish swimming with whales they are currently gathering audio and video.
