(gCaptain.com) – Operation Deep Freeze is a joint military service to resupply U.S. National Science Foundation research stations in Antarctica. Recently, the U.S. Coast Guard icebreaker, Polar Star, arrived at McMurdo Station with cargo and to also make sure there is a navigable channel to allow fuel and supply ships to reach the station’s pier.
