The Ocean Race, an around the world race is nearing its finish line, the boats racing last week from Newport, RI to Denmark in one of the final legs of the race. Boris Herrmann’s Team Malizia has gained a new monohull world record sailing 641.13 nautical miles over 24 hours. That is an average speed of 26.71 knots over a 24 hour period.
