Solo Sailor Don Lawson’s Trimaran Found

American solo sailor and world record seeker Don Lawson went missing during a passage on the west Coast of Mexico in mid-July. He was delivering his 60-foot, ultra-light trimaran Defiant from Acapulco to the Panama Canal when radio and satellite contact with him was lost, his wife reported. The Mexican Coast Guard undertook a search and altered vessels in the region. On July 30, Defiant was located 410 miles south of Acapulco but no sign of Lawson was found. Read more.
