Does your boat have a self-tacking jib?
Many thanks to all readers who took the time to fill out last week’s survey on life rafts. Of those who replied, 63% have a life raft. Of those, 52% carry a six-person raft, 32% carry a 4 person raft and 16% carry a eight-person raft. 72% have their rafts serviced at the manufacturer’s recommended intervals, 21% do so when an authorized service facility is handy and 7% do so every four years. Among Cruising Compass readers, the most highly recommended life raft brands are Viking, Winslow and Switlik.
