The Ocean Racing Club of Victoria in Australia put out a statement earlier in June stating: “Our thoughts are with our very good friends at Mersey Yacht Club (MYC), who sadly lost their marina pontoon berths and most of their boats washed down the Devonport River in the wild weather that lashed Northern Tasmania, causing floods and debris in the river at levels that have never been seen before”.
