If you are headed up the East Coast of the US this summer, two great rallies can add to the fun (and safety) of your adventure. The Salty Dawg Sailing Association is inviting all sailors and cruisers to join a cruise-in-company from the Chesapeake to Maine and then a second rally from Maine to Nova Scotia. Some cruisers will join us in the Chesapeake Bay and follow the route of both rallies all the way to the Bras d’Or Lakes. Others will join us along the way. Whatever works for you!
Enjoy the cool weather, beauty, and flavors of Maine and then escape the lobster pots to journey to the land of Celtic music on Nova Scotia’s Cape Breton.
The rally to the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia will leave Rockland, ME on August 8 and include an overnight from Maine to Shelburne, Nova Scotia, followed by a leisurely combination of rally events and free cruising time. The rally will gather in Halifax before cruising on to final destinations in the Bras d’Or Lakes. ETA Bras d’Or Lakes: August 16.
