Yacht Aground on Rocks Off the Anglesey Coast: Watch Footage of Rescue

With an audience of dozens of seals, the RNLI were able to rescue a couple from onboard a 25-foot sailboat that had gone aground on the rocks off the island of The Skerries, UK.

 

(Sailing Today) – Holyhead RNLI volunteers were called about a yacht that had gone aground on the rocky island of The Skerries, approximately two miles from the coast at Carmel Head, Anglesey.

On arrival, it became clear to the lifeboat crew that the vessel could not be moved due to the low tide. so they brought the yacht’s crew of two onboard the lifeboat and returned them to safety at Holyhead at around 5pm. Read More
