According to the Algarve Daily News (in Portugal), the massive hurricane that missed the Caribbean, the East Coast of the U.S. and Bermuda, finnally came ashore in the Azores Islands of the eastern North Atlantic. It is rare for a hurricane to hit the Azores but this one made the exception and created havoc in the islands. Read more.
