(Newsday) – Peter Farrell, a 72-year old Long Islander set sail on the Blue Dog, his 1931 William Atkin-designed 29-foot sloop along with his 3-year old dog on a trip to the BVI. Leaving in October his plan was to stop in Bermuda before continuing on to Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands but there is no record of his landing there and he has not been seen since he left.
