Multimedia Performers At Sea with Nowhere to Land

(BBC News) – Grey Filastine and Nova Ruth are musicians who perform traditional Javanese melodies and contemporary electronic music. They have been using their 1947 schooner, the Arka Kinari, as part of their performance as they focus on climate change and the health of the ocean. After leaving Mexico in February in the Paciifc they heard of more and more islands closing their borders and they made the decision to sail to Indonesia, Nova’s home country.
