A Single-Handed Single-Hander’s Long Way Home

Garry Crothers recently celebrated his arrival in Derry, Ireland after a journey of 3,600 miles singlehanding aboard his aluminium Ovni 435 cutter Kind of Blue. Crothers suffered an accident in 2009 when he lost the use of his left arm, which was then amputated in 2018. Finding himself in the Caribbean at the start of the pandemic shutdown and unable to get crew to join him due to restrictions on flights he decided to singlehand back home. Read More
