(Chicago Sun Times) – The Chicago Maritime Museum held a virtual festival this year and the keynote speaker was Bill Pinkney who in 1992 was the first African American to sail singlehanded around the world. Now 85, the personable Pinkney brought the life lessons he learned at sea to his audience.
