Wireless Network Threatens to Interfere with Nation’s GPS System

BoatUS along with over 70 other groups whose users rely on GPS have banded together to urge the Federal Communications Commission to change its mind regarding their approval to allow Ligado Networks to begin construction of their own wireless network. Ligado’s spectrum is located near lower frequency bands used by GPS units in public safety, health, government, transportation, military, commerce, agriculture and more.
