Intelligent Recognition of Objects at Sea

Sailing offshore can be relaxing but you do need to be aware of objects you may encounter. Companies are coming up with ways to help you identify floating objects that may be in your way. One company has created OSCAR which combines optical sensors and artificial intelligence to detect floating objects on your course. OSCAR automatically assesses the risk of collision in real time and warns you of any potential danger. An OSCAR system on board significantly enhances your safety and that of your crew.
